Allstate pulls out of Texas coast, but beats out competitors in other parts of the state.

Texas coast properties still have plenty of carriers to choose from, but requirements might expand, including some carriers asking for home inspections.

Even though Allstate does not cover the Texas coast anymore, the carrier still writes quotes for areas that are susceptible to hailstorms, including the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and San Antonio areas. Rates in the DFW area have been surprisingly competitive compared to other carriers.
